‘Finding the best photographer to capture our wedding celebration was one of the important tasks for me in planning our wedding. It was also intimidating as I don’t have the expertise to know what I’m looking for, especially when trying to select a photographer for a destination wedding. I had created a shortlist of five photographers and Citlalli Rico was on that list. I instantly knew she was the one when I had a chance to interview her virtually. Citla’s approach was so personable and warm, and she wanted to get to know us and what we were looking for as part of the process. It wasn’t a hard sales pitch like the others, or boasting about all their accomplishments. Interestingly enough I came to understand she was “award-winning” on a global scale. After hiring Citla and her sister, Tamara, we met for a family photo session 7 months before our wedding and they took the most captivating pictures of us. We kept in touch throughout the whole process so she could really come to understand who we were as a couple. For our wedding celebration, they both captured so many unanticipated moments of us, our family and friends. I was overwhelmed with the beauty, the memories and the story these pictures told. It’s so true that a picture can tell a thousand words. In our case, it told our love story.’
